Surrealism Vs. ‘Pataphysics

There’s a (somewhat) fine line between surrealism and ‘pataphysics.

In French, surreal simply means “super-real,” and the idea behind surreal-ism was — and is — simply to go beyond one’s normal reality, to access something otherwordly, and perhaps sublime.

As we know, ‘pataphysics is two steps beyond the physical; and that may mean something or nothing, depending on how deeply you want to explore it.

On the more surreal side of things, please enjoy the beautiful artwork of Nuncio Casanova — which may dip into the ‘pataphysical on occasion. We leave that to you.
